Favorite Beauty Products of July

Better late than never! Let’s talk about my favorite beauty products of July!

I received a pr package from Maybelline filled with their Lifter Liners and Glosses and was super excited to try them. The package came with four liners : Cross The Line, Let’s Bounce, Player, and Line Leader, and four glosses: Silk, Stone, Gummy Bear, and Ice. I was eager to swatch Cross The Line, a dark chocolate brown, because as someone who’s on the hunt for Black-girl friendly brown lip liners, I was hoping to add this one to my collection. Both the liners and the glosses are packed with hyaluronic acid and will leave your lips looking fuller and hydrated. The liners are a creamy formula, that glides on smoothly and blends extremely well. They’re honestly the best lip liners I’ve ever tried. The glosses create such a beautiful shine to the lips without leaving them sticky. My favorites are Gummy Bear, a sheer bubblegum pink, and Silk, a warm mauve. If you’re looking for splurge-worthy lip products, the Maybelline Lifter Liners and Glosses are it!

To keep it on the topic of lip combos, let’s talk about some lip products I created at the Lip Lab in New York City (the Upper East Side location). The Lip Lab is the perfect girls day activity or even if you’re looking for a solo date activity. I walked in not knowing exactly what I wanted to create, but after seeing the options, I decided on a gloss and a lipstick. This is how After Hours, a warm-toned nude satin lipstick, and Unbothered, a pure bubblegum pink lipgloss, were made. You’re able to customize the entire product: from packaging and font, to the scent and the color. I made After Hours a chocolate scent, and Unbothered a vanilla scent. They’re perfect.

My last favorite product of the month was also from a pr package: Viktor&Rolf. They sent me three of their Flowerbomb Tiger Lilly perfume: a travel size, a mini, and a full size bottle. Tiger Lilly is the perfect summer-time scent with key notes of coconut milk, tiger lilly, and mango. I might be biased, but the flowerbomb collection has some of the best smelling perfumes ever. Two years ago, Viktor & Rolf gifted me their Ruby Orchid perfume and that’s where the obsession started.
